1. Who’d a thought?! Giving blood as an escape…maybe that’s why I used to give blood so often. It’s a good habit, perhaps I should keep giving even though I don’t need a mom cave any more ;).

  2. Just so you know, this need never leaves. We all need a mom cave, mine is usually the bathroom with the jetted tub. Even after the water is cold you can get out and leave the jets running. Any noise from outside the bathroom can’t be heard when you are in the tub with the jets on.

  3. This post made my day! Because I can’t even go to the bathroom and my 4 year old boy goes to the bathroom with me!

Found your blog though Bloggy Moms!

  4. Susan, you are my people. I have long recognized the merit of one’s closet also serving as a Mom Cave: It’s great for trying on shoes, crying, and eating cookies in solitude so that you don’t have to share them with your children. Also, the ideal Mom Cave you mentioned at the top of this piece sounds divine. (I’d just swap the TV with QVC access for a laptop with Internet access — all I need is eBay.)
