  1. Great post! I think I use all of these techniques, but I may need to tune them up a bit because they don’t seem to be working. I was thinking of duct tape. We’ll see how that goes. Gonna RT this.

    Is it bad if we are already wearing out options 1,2 and 3 and our oldest is only 2.5? I may have to try the guilt soon. Currently I am maximizing my success with a glare and pointing as I guide him back into bed, then leave – all without saying a single word (I think this falls under “boring”, right?)

  4. Wow! What is the world coming to? I put my children in bed and they knew better than to call me. I also did not care if they went to sleep. However, I was blessed with a girl child who fell asleep within minutes of her head hitting the pillow. My son is a night owl like me, but he learned how to entertain himself. Neither one ever called MommEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
